Captain Erickson's Credentials
Captain Erickson served as the U.S. Coast Guard’s first Chief Data & Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAO), where he led efforts to establish foundational data architectures and integrate AI across mission-critical functions. His leadership empowered a workforce of 60,000 with faster, intel-driven decision-making.
He retired in June 2025 after serving as Deputy Director of the Department of Homeland Security Presidential Transition Office, managing multi-agency transition operations to ensure mission continuity and strategic alignment during a presidential handover.
